Starting next Tuesday, I will be broadcasting my first podcast - Inner State Stories. This will work hand-in-hand with this blog, my webpage and my social media post to create a meeting place for road trippers, past and present. I would like to include many of you travelers and roadside attraction owners in the interview portion of my podcast.. I also would like to hear the reviews of the coast-to-coast roadside attractions from their most recent visitors.
I am looking for a co-host. I have always enjoyed banter between two hosts more than hearing one person monologuing every episode. If you are interested and are available to record on Saturday mornings (this is somewhat negotiable) and have a love of road trips and giant pink elephants in glasses, contact me. I would have a rough outline of the show on the Thursday before the Saturday recording day to give time for your input and additions.
Long range plans are to do my solo show at various roadside attractions across the country and arrange group road trips down some of the most famous roads in America. With a group traveling the same route, there are possibilities for discounts and special treatment at every stop.
Big plans, but very doable with your support. If you have a great road story, if you have a favorite route, if you have just completed the perfect itinerary, if you have a favorite giant muffler man who is now Paul Bunyan, a spaceman or a cowboy, contact me. I will find a place for your story.
I believe because of the recent Covid stuff, the road trip could experience a rebirth. Let's all jump on the bandwagon now and rediscover the simpler, slower and more friendly way of traveling we all remember.
